Subscription Overview

We have three premium subscriptions that build to a total package for Profit-Cash-Equity management

The 123 Major Planning Subscription

The 123 Major Planning Subscription takes its names from the first row of the Topic Boxes, as shown here:

=123

This subscription first includes what we call FPA Library (Financial Planning & Analysis). Statements and reports that constitute basic and required information may be part of data submitted to Pace Car. Box 1 allows fr review and confirmation of this data if necessary. From there, Boxes 2 and 3 include results at the highest level of the business for issues of the broadest interest to interested parties. Pace Car will apply the “Select-Setup-Sorround” on these results in order to identify strategies for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.

Review the subscription section shown next and click “Sign Up” if you can benefit from this approach to poor result flagging and tools for producing improvement.

Pace Car at Work

Introducing the driving force behind the focus of Pace Car at any given time: Topic Boxes, as depicted in the chart below. This breakout of the universe of results is a convenient way to organize them and to produce our three levels of result strategies.

The BirdTraffic method underlying Pace Car uses a cycle of Select-Setup-Surround to produce strategic moves. But Select what? Surround what? Strategic moves for what? The answer is that various results get selected for further examination based on experience or flags. But since results vary considerably in their nature - materiality, complexity, control, quantity of transactions, etc. - sorting them into categories facilitates the gaining of understanding.

All of Pace Car work is based on the Topic Box grid shown here.

Designed for all issues flowing through Topic Boxes 1 to 3 - includes a library of user FPA reports and statement to serve as launching points and user validation. Also includes the high level reporting for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow. Then proceeds to include updates and projections to round out assessment of results and to support identification of opportunities for result improvement at the most familiar and critical levels.

The 456 Volume Planning Subscription

The 456 Volume Planning Subscription takes its names from the second row of the Topic Boxes, as shown here:

This subscription tackles sales and gross profit. You can expect that 85% of your transaction rows are here, coming from invoicing, sales tax, cost of goods, relief of labor, parts inventory, work in process, and so on. Again, Pace Car will apply the method of Select-Setup-Surround to understand the landscape and flag performances that are off. It should also be noted that in most cases “system gross profit” is not “statement gross profit” because of the large quantity of tax and benefit assignments that ultimately must be made. Further there are timing issues to recognize as work in process fluctuates.

This set of boxes is rich in stories to be examined. Some show conformity to plan, others not so much.

Review the subscription section shown next and click “Sign Up” if you can benefit from this approach to poor result flagging and tools for producing improvement. We would recommend that even if you are interested, to start on a lag basis from the123 Major Planning implementation to allow for the best implementation.

This subscription addresses Boxes 4 to 6, all aspects of sales and gross profit - which means about 85% of the transaction rows in the accounting system. We must compress this volume into manageable result information. Regardless of whether or not you are assisted by BI applications, this subscription is a must-have if you want to locate actionable pockets of gross profit activity for profit improvement and integrate it into company plans.
