Public Company Project:

To create a mini-version of a public company group of distribution companies to use in cases and examples.

Created a group after cross referencing leading public companies on lists from Fintel and MDM.

Threw out the large and smaller ones and scanned the remaining to eliminate complicated financial statements.

Further eliminated companies sold after the selection

This produced a group of three companies.

Final step was to calculate average financials and shrink the result by a factor that would leave an under $50 million revenue demo company.

This produced the Public-Company Sample, Inc. entity to serve as a demo company.
