Developed on a parttime basis by Baltimore Software Two, LLC, an affiliate of MAW BirdTraffic, the mission of Report Lab is to enable the dream of BirdTraffic - to advance and protect the financials of its users. The concept of Result Lab has expanded in lockstep with the concept of BirdTraffic.

Other features include:
A common axis for up and down , and forward and back, movement for amounts and volumes for use in variance analysis.
Bottom quartile analysis supports profit improvement compensation. A “box” report is available for pivot work. Both of these lend focus on low performers.
A “context” report exists as a sidebar for each selected report. This extends the degree of tracing the impact of an unfavorable result to its effect on total income or cash flow.
General Ledger. Numerous reports from your accounting system will reappear in Result Lab. It has a unique numbering system and account uses account names which change depending on the context of the report.
Its accounting period is the month, but with options for 2-week and 1-week. Its reports convert to charts. So, yes, rooted in accounting.

Result Lab was born to put a focus on a selected result (or cluster of results) from every available angle. From this, it is the expectation of the BirdTraffic advisor that performance can be explained and strategic moves be generated. This requires a number of capabilites not found in a General Ledger.
From Owl to Hawk: Versatility and Innovation
Result Lab is the essence of the Crow strategy for Data in the Bird Traffic financial management approach. It supports all other modules.
The process begins with goal-making recorded in the Owl module for Vision and used to drive connected goals throughout.
Coming out of the other side of the Eagle tunnel is Hawk for Influence.
Here the job of Result Lab is to push out reporting on results, explanation and commitments to managers who commit the business to income-affecting moves.
Result Lab handles forward periods as well as historical ones. Whether by week for a few weeks, or by ear for a few years, his is mandatory for the advisor. It also puts Result Lab in play for budgeting, strategic planning, banking submissions, turnaround work and valuation work.

Current Look - Best Look
The key addition that Result Lab makes to result management is Current Look-Best Look. This is a capability to map mout where na rresult is headed and compare that path to where the desired or ideal level is. These paths may not be externally reported ones, but rather the current thinking based on Result Lab tools. This feature gives manager an edge in determining favorable and unfavorable results - and points to causes that may not have been in the view.

New Capabilities: Pace Car and BirdTraffic for Trello
Two new capabilites have been installed in Result Lab.
The first is Pace Car. This is a tool in the charting area of the main reporting menu which present views of a result in multiple timelines, historical and forward - and views of multiple results in one timeline. The innovation here is that Current Look and Best Look always appear.
The second is the BirdTraffic for Trello app. This is a key advancement for the Hawk effort which adds team collaboration to its toolkit for influencing results.
