INBOUND TO PACE CAR FROM USER!
Financial Statements
Onboarding needs a starter set of statements. One to two prior years plus year-to-date monthlies prior to the subscription.
Then monthly thereafter for Monthly Rythm
Sales and Cost of Sales
The transaction registers carrying the large volume of sales and cost of sales - these contain important core information. We have extraction templates to apply to your system exports. There can at times be difficulties in this area which will need workarounds. You may have pulled a lot of this before.
Operating Expense
If payroll needs to have a confidential section, we need just lump sums form that section without descriptions. Same for any other expense, for example, legal, consulting, travel. We may need basic tax and insurance information.
Balance Sheet
We work off of a condensed balance sheet. We may need some basic background on your accounts. This includes purchase and dispositions of fixed assets and proceeds and repayments of loans and leases.
Budgets
Any budget information you have.
Projections
Any projections you have.
If anything is difficult to produce, or uncomfortable, we will find some workaround. Just remember that every workaround dents the analysis somewhat.
Participation
We also need your contribution to discussion, explanations, strategies.
Learning the basic BirdTraffic landscape.
Owl Guidance - the concept behind the Pace Car Path Management system. This expresses a detailed picture of what to look like at your practical future best.
Crow Organizer - your uploads are going into Crow to be aligned with the path management process.
Eagle Display - let’s get a good look at what is going on and where it is headed. Let’s get different looks.
Hawk Influence - we need to turn accounting information into strategic moves to influence results.
So, here is what your participation looks like:
This incudes:
— two workshops per month, 1 hour each
— learning and using Pace Car for Trello, a team collaboration tool we will be using to get it right on the status and transfer of information
— Hawk reports will come into the team on Pace Car for Trello. See below for background. They do not require immediate attention, so they can stay in a queue in Trello. It won’t be an enormous number, but their purpose is to present opportunities for a positive financial result (or to accept that a component is off and needs to be compensated for elsewhere). So the team needs to create a rhythm for taking up Hawks.
Background on Hawk Reports
Hawk is our codename for efforts to influence results with accounting information. You will be seeing two types of Hawk reports.
One is for “Keep Close”. These are results that have gaps from the Pace Car Path, but more information or time is required to determine if it is an issue. This is coming from a “TRACE” discovery process to detect low performances.
The other Hawk report is for hot leads for profit improvement. It suggests tactics and our “ABBA” line of initial action steps that can be supported by Pace Car data and can influence behavior.
We need the team to produce strategic moves on these leads.
We want to present this line of tactics to the team twice a month.
See more on TRACE and ABBA tactics.
