A Word on Financial Planning Analysis (FPA)
FPA1
Financial Planning & Analysis to most is generally a mixture of past, present and future looks at performance - submission of performance reports (past) running a budget (present) and generating forecasts (future). Companies do this internally or can use outside help - or a combination. Frequently this is “corner office” stuff.
This can be very active and impactful, or in some cases good intentioned but not terribly impactful. In either case, let’s call this “FPA1”. And we aim for the active and impactful.
We see FPA1 as intrinsically valuable, but more that that we can observe its unavoidable mission in unearthing the “VAPCO” issues - phonetic for VPC. This stands for value, profit and cash, together or separately, the mothership KPI.
But there are so many moving parts to manage at the same time. So we see FPA1 setting up FPA Plus as being a necessary step to fully implement. We’ll explain next.
FPA Plus
We have set out to create something more, an “FPA Plus” characterized by greater accessibility, affordable cost and visible result improvement. It can be “corner office” but it is just as often found at the point of possible influence of internal or external parties making company commitments.
The way we can achieve our goals of accessibility of accessibility, affordability and impact is through the development of the BirdTraffic method, supported by custom data system.
We’d like to explain in this site, in our free content section or in live presentation. All 4 capabilities offer distinct added value, but the ultimate objective of the BirdTraffic method is to get Hawk in position to work. Hawk is the component that finds and changes the underperforming outcome.
